New Year, Same God

I MISS YOU !!

Wow... things changed since I last wrote to you in September. I have a million things to update and share, however, I will just start with how faithful God is.

It's 2023. A new year, new start, new beginning. But thankfully, we serve the same God. His promises are true and lasting. He is in this new year with us, just like He was in 2022.

I have no clue what this past year looked like for you. Maybe it was the hardest thing ever, and you couldn't wait for a new start. Maybe it was the best and you are leaving it with bittersweet emotions. No matter the situation or circumstance, I can promise you God was in it.

In Deuteronomy 31:8, the Lord says, "He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” Wow!! I will rejoice for all God has done in 2022 and for all that He will do in 2023.

When I last wrote on the blog, I was walking through a hard season. College seemed hard as can be and I was still adjusting to what this new season was going to look like. Looking back, I see so many answered prayers. I am currently living in answered prayers!! I wish I could go back in time to give myself a hug and a good pep-talk on the faithfulness of the Lord- hopefully that doesn't sound weird haha. But it's true, I had so many people praying for me, encouraging me, and reminding me that it would all be okay, and yet I struggled to believe them.

So if that's you right now, please please just hold on to the faithfulness of God. It is hard, trust me I know, but He is working for your good!!

Psalm 84:11 is truly a beautiful expression of this:

"For the Lord God is a sun and shield;

The Lord will give grace and glory;

No good thing will He withhold

From those who walk uprightly."

Let this verse be your declaration for this time!! For He gives grace and glory so freely and keeps no good thing from you. Why worry when the God of all is taking time out of His day to make sure you do not miss one good thing??

Maybe you are entering this new year, while in a rough season, and feel as if you don't have people praying for you, encouraging you, and reminding you of His goodness. Please know I am praying for you. I would love to walk alongside you in this season and the ones to come.

Maybe you are entering this year on cloud 9 from the past one, and looking forward to all that is to come. I am praying for you and celebrating all the good!!
